The pump would be ok if the pump shaft would lock in place. The pump I received appears to have the pump shaft about 1/16" too long and the plastic locking ring under the handle won't engage the matching cutout on the pumps body. A potential danger if mounted with handle down. It may be a production error and not just the pump that I received. (Nashbar & Performance Bike blocked this review)

I really like this pump for a Schrader valve (did not try it on a presta valve). It is supposed to work on both types. It fits fairly tight on the Schrader valve, but not so tight that the valve pushes into the rim. Before, I had a Topeak Mini Morph Bike Pump that gave me fits because it was so tight that the valve would push in and not engage the pin so it would not pump up the tube. That one I took back to the store (it was probably a manufacturing defect). I've only used it on my mountain bike and I get good pressure in my tube. The only thing I didn't care for was the side mounting bracket that fits under the water bottle. Instead, I used a front mounting bracket that keeps the pump in line with the down tube. But that is just my preference. I bought this at REI for $19.
